BAB A3

Germany

The 76-km-long A3 motorway route between Würzburg and Erlangen is being widened and redesigned in the scope of a concession model. As partner of a concession applicant VCE is involved in the proposal preparation of 42 predominantly integral bridge structures including two cable-stayed, two green and eight reinforced concrete composite bridges with spans between 50 m and 60 m.

There is a focus on static processing as well as on quantity determination considering workflow concepts.
Thanks to parametrization, BIM and 3D quantity survey for service specifications, analogies can be used, efficiency can be increased as far as deadlines are concerned and building masses and geometry can be represented comprehensibly and with high precision.

It is very important to VCE to optimize proposal processing by means of specific modern methods and an increase in the level of detail in BIM.
