Salzachsteg South

Salzburg, Austria

The new bridge is harmoniously integrated into the landscape of the Salzach river as a floating, clearly shaped element. Due to the light construction of the bridge there is only slight interference with the natural recreation area. The banks of the river are designed variably and offer public areas to linger on both sides.

The bridge creates a connection for pedestrians and cyclists between the residential area on the right river side and the floodplain forest on the left side.

The Salzach bridge is designed as a stressed-ribbon bridge with a main span of 70 m.
