Subjects of theproject are the construction of an additional traffic lane in Ravelsbach and the bypass Maissau in the course of the B4 road and structural and partly operational maintenance. The total length of the project route amounts to 16.1 km, including 5.6 km completely new construction, with 13 bridges. The duration of the PPP-contract amounts to 27 years (2010-2037).
The maintenance and operation concept for the total contract route was prepared in the tendering procedure. This comprises the maintenance concept for roads, the maintenance concept for bridges and the operation concept. For all planned measures the effects on availability were quantified and evaluated. The elaborated maintenance concept meets the condition requirements of extended maintenance within the contract duration of 27 years.
