The Project, a Private Public Partnership (PPP or PFI) model, consists of the new construction of 22.5 km of motorway (six lanes + emergency lanes) and the operation and maintenance of in total 45 km of motorway between Eisenach and Gotha in Thuringia (eastern Germany). This 60 years old section is no longer capable of the present volume of traffic of more than 40,000 vehicles per day. The 30-year concession project involves the funding, design, construction, operation and maintenance including a number of noise reduction structures and 48 bridges (including four major bridges).
The KONFAM Consortium has appointed VCE to perform the Technical Advisor role for the Mandated Lead Arrangers.
