The project is represented by a 14,7 km long section of the bypass Mistelbach consists of three maintenance sections (bypass south (3.4 km), bypass west (6,3 km) and bypass Paasdorf and Huttendorf (5 km) and is going to be operated for 25 years (2016 – 2041). In the course of the PPP-project tender we developed a maintenance concept for the entire highway section consisting of 14,7 km of pavement (concrete and asphalt) and 29 bridges. The concept was divided into two main categories:
- Maintenance of pavement and engineering structures
- Operational maintenance (maintenance of road equipment, cleaning, maintenance of green areas).
For every intended measure the effect on the availability of the highway section was quantified and evaluated. The elaborated maintenance concept fulfils the requirements regarding the structural condition of the pavement and the structures within the contract period (25 years).
