For the efficient connection of the south-east and the west of Vienna the Lainzer Tunnel is realised as freight train connection. Lot 44 with a total length of 690 m comprises the track of the Southern Railway Line in the direction of the connection tunnel and is executed by means of clamshell construction method reaching up to 50 cm to existing residential buildings.
