In the course of the “Austrian Assistance for Steel Bridges” five steel truss bridges (System “Modular Bridges“) are manufactured in Austria and shipped to Sri Lanka. The foundation of the bridges consists of bored piles as well as partly of well foundation. The spans of the road bridges range from 25 m to a maximum of 70 m. The deck consists of an in-situ concrete slab.
