The Ta-Chi bridge crosses the Keelung river in Taipei. It is a cable-stayed bridge with single plan cable arrangement for the main span and a pylon supported by back-stays. The bridge deck and the pylon consist of steel sections. The deck width is 40 m and the max. span length is 172 m. The total length is 420 m. The construction of the superstructure was executed by incremental launching from the southern abutment by means of supports over the Keelung river. Subsequently the pylon was mounted at the bridge girder, turned into its final position and fixed with the back-stays.
