Measurements and analyses were carried out for the survey of the acoustic effectiveness of the noise protection wall near the track by order of the Asamer Rubber Technology Gmbh. Therefore, a test section with a noise protection wall near the track was instrumented on the new route Vienna - St. Pölten in the scope of the innovation test runs. The noise protection wall is situated on track 9 between the new and the existing route. The acoustic emissions were inspected in the middle of the section of the noise protection wall and outside the test section (distance of 60 m to the noise protection wall) for comparison.
