The underground railway line U1 was completely rehabilitated between the stations Reumannplatz and Schwedenplatz. The oldest 35-year-old part required comprehensive modernization measures. Preliminarily a comparison of several repair measures at the track system was carried out with regard to their carbon footprint.
The Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the building materials used was examined and transport expenditure was estimated.
