Announcement 2022
In 2022 the VCE Innovation Prize will be awarded in the domain and research area of maintenance, monitoring and life expectancy of structures. This prize shall be awarded for outstanding achievements in engineering and innovative technical contributions in the form of diploma theses, dissertations or habilitation treatises. The call for proposals is addressed to selected technical faculties and departments at Austrian universities.
Basically papers in all fields of civil engineering are considered, in particular from the fields of
- Infrastructure engineering
- Construction engineering
- Structural and civil engineering
- Monitoring, assessment and maintenance of structures
Diploma theses, dissertations and habilitation treatises shall not be older than 24 months.
In total a maximum sum of € 5,000.— shall be distributed.
Applications shall be addressed to Ms. Kamper from the Institute of Structural Engineering by 15 March 2022 at the latest.
The application shall be submitted by an informal letter including an abstract of the submitted paper (1-2 pages), a complete copy of the paper as hard as well as soft copy, the expertises of the diploma/doctoral thesis or grading of the master thesis, a CV of the applicant and any verifications of an appropriate scientific qualification (e.g. publication list). The prize winners are selected in a decision-making meeting and the award ceremony takes place within the scope of an academic ceremony.
The prize winners will be selected by a committee.
This selection committee consists of representatives of the following institutions:

- Technical University Graz
- VCE Vienna Consulting Engineers ZT GmbH
