Wind power plants and their foundation structures (monopiles, jackets) are exposed to enormous dynamic loads by wind and waves.
For the monitoring of safety and optimization of lifetime these structures are equipped with structural health monitoring systems. Monitoring enables condition monitoring (structural damage, scouring) as well as the determination of fatigue-relevant load cycles and thus a lifetime prediction.

HVDC converter platforms and offshore-sub-stations are continuously exposed to high dynamic loads by wind and waves.
In addition, currents can lead to scouring in the foundation area. Therefore, these offshore structures are equipped with health monitoring systems to constantly monitor the condition and ensure the required remaining service life.
