Due to reconstruction works, a permanent vibration monitoring was implemented in particularly sensitive areas.
The media complex Küniglberg of the austrian broadcasting company (ORF) is being modernised. Due to the sensitivity of the technical equipment in the associated server rooms, a vibration assessment was carried out.
On the basis of specific standards, guidelines and measurements of the ambient vibration in the server rooms, vibration limit values have been determined in order to assure a proper work of the equipment.
During the construction works, a permanent vibration monitoring including three vibration sensors was installed. In the case of exceedances of the defined limits, automated warnings (e-mails, SMS, optical beacons) are generated in order to inform the construction company and the project partners of the exceedances.
